My Story

Meet Penelope! This tortie darling will melt your heart. More sweet than sass, she is on the bashful side, but warms up quickly and becomes more talkative as she settles in. She loves snuggles, head and back scratches, and batting around her toys. And let's face it, she's a beauty! And soft. So soft. She welcomes being brushed and needs it to keep that pretty coat shining. Penelope is looking for someone who can embrace her extra needs. She has periodontal disease and had several teeth extracted, but a recent veterinary exam showed her to be in good health and is not currently in need of a dental, but may be required in the future due to her condition. She also has a sensitive tummy and is on prescription hydrolyzed protein food, which she eats up like a champ. Penelope hasn't shown much interest in befriending her fosters' resident, but may be able to coexist with another chill cat given a slow introduction. She may do best in a low-energy household, but who knows how bright this star can shine! Approximate DOB: 2016 Foster Home Location: Milwaukee If you are interested in adopting one of our wonderful cats or kittens, you can apply on our website: https://www.commcat.org/copy-of-adopt-a-bff Please allow several days for us to process your application. We are a small, all-volunteer group and we are doing our best to work quickly! After the application is processed we will make arrangements for you to meet the cats that interest you. All of our cats and kittens are raised in our homes and live with us until they are adopted. They live with us as part of our families so we know them very well and we can help you find your perfect cat! Cats are rarely caged (only if its medically necessary) so you can visit with them and see how they act in a home. Our adoption fees: Kittens (under 6 months): $150 (or 2 for $225) Adults (6 months to 7 years): $75 (or 2 for $100) Seniors (8 years and up): $40 (or 2 for $60) All cats are spayed or neutered, tested for FIV/FeLV, dewormed, vaccinated for rabies (if age appropriate) and distemper, and microchipped.
