My Story

Orzo is currently in a foster home, and not housed at the BCAS building, please place an application to show interest and give us your contact information to move forward. Orzo's story begins when he was brought in to Bastrop County Animal Services, he was about 4 weeks old and a tiny 9oz (horribly underweight), severely malnourished, covered in dirt and fleas, and with a gut infection. He was quickly placed in a medical foster to help him thrive and the litter were called "the noodles and all given pasta inspired names. His medical troubles continued for some time as he became a failure to thrive with reoccurring gut infections that prevented him from putting on weight and growing. After multiple rounds of antibiotics, probiotics, immune boosters and some special food he is on the mend and finally looking for love. Orzo is an excellent example of an orange cat model, his particular model comes with extremely short and soft hair and (for now) overly large ears (we think he will grow into them, but if not it's extra adorable). He is sweet, cuddly, and full of purrs one moment, then short circuits and is a mischievous orange streak across the house the next. Life will never be dull with this one. Otherwise, this 2024 orange model also includes: Pink toe beans? - check! Working purr motor? - check check! Random zoomies? - oh yes! Dennis the menace style mischief- Most definitely! Quadruple Check! Devoted Cuddles- Absolutely! In abundance! Current application to the biscuit making factory? - Check! Shared orange brain cell? - for sure. Orzo will make a toy out of just about anything and everything whether that was its intended purpose or not. If we are just talking about cat toys, he seems to enjoy anything that he can chase- the jingle bell balls, the rolling spring, his siblings....and occasionally his own tail!
