My Story

Ornella is a lovely senior kitty, saved from certain euthanasia at a kill shelter in 2015 because of her FIV+ status. Since coming into the care of our rescue, Ornella has made progress with socialization, and we would love for her to find a quiet, loving forever home with an experienced cat person to care for her and let her bloom at her own pace. Or Ella is one of our FIV+ cats. FIV is an autoimmune disorder, typically transmitted from momma cats to their kittens or through deep bite wounds that can happen when feral or community cats compete over territory. While there is no cure for FIV, with proper veterinary care, cats can live normal lives for prolonged periods of time. What's more, because it is not easily spread, cats with FIV can live completely safely alongside cats that are FIV-negative! APPROX DOB: 05/15/2015
