My Story

Oreo started out as an indoor kitten, but through no fault of her own, her family decided to make her stay outside (stories like this are common in the rescue world). This poor girl would sleep by their door and a kindly neighbor would feed her and asked to have her spayed, but the family refused. Months later, the feeder came across an almost-lifeless Oreo--she was emaciated and had a severe upper respiratory infection. She was immediately treated at the vet and spayed, and since she's been in foster care, she's blossomed into a total mush who loves to sit by her person on the couch and is always nudging her for cuddles and pets. Oreo occasionally has an afternoon or evening burst of zoomies with her toys, and she also enjoys watching bird videos on her person's iPad. While she was initially a bit shy--after the cruelty she experienced, we can't blame her--she adjusted quickly and now greets her Mom at the door and sleeps by her side at night. If you'd like to give this gentle 3-year-old girl the forever home she deserves, apply today!
