My Story

Orca is a black male domestic short hair. (In bright sunshine, his coat has classic tabby stripes!) Orca has a little sister he would love to be adopted with, Narwhal. [Doctor Pagel] brought Orca and his brown tabby sister Narwhal home to socialize for a month as they were very shy at the clinic. Orca got friendly immediately. He likes to climb onto your shoulders or back, purring with joy. He retrieves toys for fetch. He is getting bolder and bolder to jumping on legs and asking to be picked up. He will chase a laser dot or cat charmer or fetch until he runs out of gas, and flops leaning against you or on your leg or arm, or climbs you to sit on your shoulder or cuddle under your neck. He's going to be very hard to part with, I think he and his sister will make some once-in-a-lifetime cats. Orca murmurs to himself when he's charging around or play-wrestling with his sister. He 'announces' when he's using the litter box. With toys, he likes to bounce and announce. Orca (and less so Narwhal) like to run across and leap off legs and backs. He's jumping on legs to be picked up, he does not hesitate to solicit attention. Narwhal loves to lay against your leg or arm. She loves to lounge within arm's reach as you rest your hand on her, motionless or very, very slowly stroking her head or butt. Narwhal does not enjoy laps (yet). This may change with time, and NEVER scaring or chasing or restraining her may speed her loving laps. Narwhal only enjoys briefly being scooped up and held under my chin. I always set her down BEFORE she starts to squirm. My hope is she'll slowly get to like being held longer and longer. Both use their paws more than any kittens I've dealt with. Orca and Narwhal stand/sit on their back legs so they can use their fronts to grab things, like little velociraptors. It won't surprise me if they grow into cats who 'clap' their front paws together to ask for attention. Our adoption fee includes spaying/neutering, microchipping, negative FeLV/FIV test, deworming, parasite prevention, and all up to date vaccinations. The adoption fee is for the *pair* of kittens, Orca and Narwhal. Reach out to us for an application via email [email protected]! An approved application must be in place before scheduling a meet & greet. Please plan your meet and greet when you are ready to welcome your new companion into the home within 3 days of applying.
