My Story

How in the world has this sweet girl been with us for almost a YEAR? This is the beautiful Ophelia, who is the kitty who has been at the shelter the longest! Sweet Ophelia was found abandoned and rescued by a nice person who brought her to the shelter. Ophelia has an estimated birthdate of 10/01/2021, so she's only two and a half years young. Adorable Ophelia has seen lots of other kitties come and go during her year with us, and she's wondering when it will be her day, as are we, because she is a delightful girl! Ophelia is a little shy at first, but does warm up quickly. She is a pretty laid back lady and never makes much of a fuss about anything. She loves getting attention from the shelter staff and volunteers, and especially loves to be brushed. She also loves to play! Feather toys and mice are her favorites. She also is huge catnip fan as well! She will also never say no to the occasional kitty treat too! She would do best in a home without dogs, as she's been fearful of the dogs she's met while at the shelter. She would do fine in a home with other kitties as she has been around lots of other feline friends while at the shelter, and she is fine with them. Of course, when introducing new furry family members to one another, slow and proper introductions make a world of difference! Did you know that it can take up to three months for them to become acclimated? Miss Ophelia would be a fantastic sidekick for a single person or as part of a large family too. As mentioned before, Ophelia has been with us for so long, and is our longest term kitty, and she's ready to go! She just needs someone to give her a chance, and give her the love and stability that she's never had. She says that's she's had enough of the shelter life, and she's ready for her forever home! Could it be with you? If so, please fill out an application and schedule a meet and greet.
