Opal

Hi, I'm Opal, I was found at Central Michigan University when I was very small. My first foster bottle fed me until I was ready to be transferred to a rescue. That's when my current fosters stepped in. When my foster sister saw me posted, she knew she had to step in and bring me to the rescue. Unfortunately my foster family had no idea they had a mystery virus brewing in their home when they rescued me. Because of that I spent 2 weeks in the hospital. I've overcome a lot, I had a little set back this spring, but with some meds, I was back to myself in no time! I'm a pretty healthy girl now, but when I get colds they make me feel really bad. I have a lot of energy, and will keep you on your toes. I love to play and I love to cuddle, but sometimes (mom says a lot of the time) I get over stimulated and I get rough. They say something about bunny kicking and using my teeth. I call it hugging their arms and giving them nibbles, but they say it hurts! My foster family tries to distract me with toys when this happens. I don't mean to be this way, I blame it on being a bottle baby. My foster family believes I shouldn't be with small children or the elderly because of my actions. We have 3 big dogs in my foster home, and they know I'm the boss. The older kitties get annoyed with me. I think it's because they just can't keep up with me. With proper introduction I will like feline and canine friends, as long as they are feline friendly. My foster family says I'm a special girl, and it's going to take a very patient person/family to adopt me. I'll be 1 in September, so I'm still very much kitten like.
