My Story

Olive is a one-year old, 9 lb. female kitty. She had been outside for several months through the winter before her foster family took her in. Olive was spayed, vaccinated, tested for all feline diseases, treated with preventatives and microchipped. She is completely healthy and litter box trained. Olive has now been living the good life as an indoor kitty for the past two months. Despite being a stray kitty for some time, Olive is very social and confident with humans, seeking contact and affection. She has transitioned easily to indoor life. Olive is incredibly intelligent, affectionate, playful, and loves to sit in laps. She loves toys and treats and is not a fussy eater. Her foster mom plays enrichment games with her regularly. Olive is truly a special cat. Because of her experiences defending herself outdoors, Olive needs to be the only pet in the home. She becomes stressed and defensive with other cats and dogs, and reacts negatively to them. Our ideal home for Olive is one where she is the only pet and can soak of all the love from her new guardian. She would likely do best with adults only, and must be kept indoors for her safety. If you are interested in meeting Olive or know someone who is looking for a very special cat to love, please apply today. Olive is spayed, vaccinated, negative for FelV/FIV, and ready to be adopted. This cat's adoption fee is $150. ***Please note that the first step in the process is to complete our nonbinding application which does not commit you in any way, but allows us to help you to find a great match. Our application review process also includes a veterinary reference check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives (if applicable) and examined annually by your vet.*** Cats adopted through Freckles Foundation & Animal Rescue must be indoor only and may not be declawed unless already declawed at the time of rescue.
