My Story

Ojo MRQ# Solo7-24-10 DOB: 02/12/24 Ojo is a very sweet, smart, and calm kitten. He loves to have his ears and head scratched. Ojo purrs and purrs for that. When patted, his tail comes up in a curve like an upside down U. Ojo loves to play, with people and with other cats. He's a little shy with new people, but great with other cats. Ojo loves to play chase and wrestle with cats. He loves to chase teasers with people. He's also happy to play by himself. Unlike his silly half-sisters, Ojo is calm and a little cautious. He isn't likely to get himself in trouble. Ojo was named for a character from Frank L. Baum's Oz series, one who started out unlucky and became lucky. He was unlucky because he was born outside to a feral mother. Ojo is lucky that he was caught, the sole surviving kitten of his litter. Even just two days after he was brought inside, he was already purring when scratched. He'll be even luckier when he gets a good home. Then, he will truly be Ojo the Lucky. Because of his past, Ojo will probably always be a little shy with people he doesn't know, but he's great with cats and would be a wonderful companion for a cat who wants a friend to play with, who likes playing chase and wrestling. He runs to other cats, but also backs off when they want him to and is very tolerant of other cats getting more attention than he does. If another cat is chasing a teaser, Ojo tends to watch and wait for his turn. Ojo comes up to people he knows for scratches and cuddles. He's also easily bribed for lickable treats or even bits of cheese and will hop right on laps for them. He understands that treats mean he gets pats too. So it probably wouldn't take much effort to convince him to be a lap cat, particularly if he sees another cat sitting on laps. Right now, he's a sit-nearby cat. Ojo is used to a fairly quiet house. Personality Traits: Is litter box trained Has been around other cats Is a mellow, laid back kitty Would be happiest with a buddy If interested, please contact my foster mom Carol at [email protected] or (951) 317-1736
