See the rest of The Sugar & Spice Squad at https://www.jackofallcats.org/adopt ~~~~~~~~~~ Meet Nutmeg - The Brave Brown Tabby with Emerald Eyes! Introducing Nutmeg, a beautiful and resilient female kitty born around April 18th. Nutmeg's journey to find safety and love started when she was rescued at only 5 weeks old along with her 5 siblings from the Tarrant County Public Health parking lot. They were living in the hood of a Corolla, and their mom had been evading traps for years, having litter after litter. Fortunately, all six babies and their mom were trapped, and while Momma now lives out her years on a ranch, Nutmeg and her siblings are ready for their fur-ever homes. Timid but Thriving: Nutmeg has come leaps and bounds from her spicy beginnings. Though she can still be timid, she has made great progress and will continue to thrive with patience, extra love, and care. Brave and Social: Despite her shy nature, Nutmeg showed her bravery by joining in with the big cats without hesitation. She looks up to them and enjoys their company, making her a great companion for other cats. Playful and Fun: Nutmeg loves to play and have fun, especially with her favorite wand toy. Her playful antics bring joy and laughter to any home. Did someone say fish?!: Mealtime is a favorite for Nutmeg. She especially loves boiled fish. Nutmeg will thrive in a home where she can be around some feline friends. Her journey from a timid kitten to a brave and social butterfly is a testament to her resilience and potential for love. Are you ready to welcome Nutmeg into your home and provide the patience and love she needs to fully open up? This sweet little tabby is eagerly waiting to find her fur-ever family! ~~~~~~~~~~ ~ Adopting with Jack of All Cats ~ At Jack of All Cats, we prioritize the perfect match over a first-come, first-served approach. We believe that every cat has their person and every person has their cat. Our dedicated team works diligently to ensure that each feline finds a home where they can thrive. By carefully pairing up matches, we aim to create happy and healthy lives for our kitties, placing them in the best-suited homes. Our adoption process is designed to prioritize compatibility, ensuring a lifelong companionship that brings joy to both our cats and their new families? Prior to out-of-state adoption, all of our kitties are: Spayed/Neutered Microchipped SNAP FIV/FeLV combo tested Fully up to date on vaccines (rabies, FeLV, FVRCP (plus boosters if needed) Dewormed Current on flea & tick prevention Treated for any other health issues that are present while in our care We are running a special! The out-of-state adoption fee for single kittens is $450 and for a pair of kittens is $800 to help cover the above care. In addition, it reflects the cost of transport plus necessary supplies for transport (i.e. carriers to go home in, if necessary). Where mandated by state law, an additional health exam may be completed by a licensed veterinarian, along with an issued Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) prior to departure. Must be 19+ to apply Out-of-State Process: Once your application is received and we choose to move along with the adoption process, we will conduct a home check over a video call. Please make sure that every household member is present at the time of the meeting. This is also your opportunity to “meet” the kitties virtually. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. Please note: We are not a shelter. Cats are snuggling with their foster families. Please fill out an application. If we are able to move forward with your adoption application, we will be in touch to schedule an appointment to visit with the kitty(ies) of your dreams! Jack of All Cats is run only by volunteers who also work other full time jobs. We do our best to respond as promptly as possible, but please be courteous and allow a week for a response. Jack of All Cats reserves the right to deny any application that is deemed unsuitable for the animal.
