Meet Nutmeg - The Brave Brown Tabby with Emerald Eyes!
Introducing Nutmeg, a beautiful and resilient female kitty born around April 18th. Nutmeg's journey to find safety and love started when she was rescued at only 5 weeks old along with her 5 siblings from the Tarrant County Public Health parking lot. They were living in the hood of a Corolla, and their mom had been evading traps for years, having litter after litter. Fortunately, all six babies and their mom were trapped, and while Momma now lives out her years on a ranch, Nutmeg and her siblings are ready for their fur-ever homes.
Timid but Thriving: Nutmeg has come leaps and bounds from her spicy beginnings. Though she can still be timid, she has made great progress and will continue to thrive with patience, extra love, and care.
Brave and Social: Despite her shy nature, Nutmeg showed her bravery by joining in with the big cats without hesitation. She looks up to them and enjoys their company, making her a great companion for other cats.
Playful and Fun: Nutmeg loves to play and have fun, especially with her favorite wand toy. Her playful antics bring joy and laughter to any home.
Did someone say fish?!: Mealtime is a favorite for Nutmeg. She especially loves boiled fish.
Nutmeg will thrive in a home where she can be around some feline friends. Her journey from a timid kitten to a brave and social butterfly is a testament to her resilience and potential for love.
Are you ready to welcome Nutmeg into your home and provide the patience and love she needs to fully open up? This sweet little tabby is eagerly waiting to find her fur-ever family!

Local Adoption Process:
Every local adoption comes with a Whisker Warm-Up Window. This unique foster-to-adopt 2-week period was designed to create a seamless transition for both our kittens and their prospective families. This special time frame allows you to foster our adorable feline friends, giving you the opportunity to experience the joys of their companionship before making a final commitment. During this period, you'll have the chance to assess compatibility, build a bond, and ensure a purr-fect match.
Adoption fees are refundable minus a $25 re-listing fee with the safe return of the kitties within the Whisker Warm-Up Window. You may also transfer the fee to do a trial with another kitty. It's our way of ensuring that both you and the kittens have the opportunity to find your happily-ever-after together, stress-free and with full peace of mind.
Please note: We are not a shelter. Cats are snuggling with their foster families. Please fill out an application. If we are able to move forward with your adoption application, we will be in touch to schedule an appointment to visit with the kitty(ies) of your dreams! Jack of All Cats is run only by volunteers who also work other full time jobs. We do our best to respond as promptly as possible, but please be courteous and allow up to 4 days for a response. Jack of All Cats reserves the right to deny any application that is deemed unsuitable for the animal.
