My Story
Sisters Comet and Nova surely don't look alike, but, as is sometimes the case, they likely had different fathers and were, along with 3 siblings, rescued just a day or so after their mom gave birth in a warehouse.
Comet is a delightful black kitten with a sleek, shiny coat and bright, inquisitive eyes. She's already showing a strong sense of curiosity and an adventurous spirit. Comet loves to explore her surroundings, chase after toys, and pounce on anything that moves (feet and hands beware!) She will scale anything and everything if it gives her a new perch from which to survey her territory. Comet has tons of energy (she conducts master classes in the zoomies) but, once playtime is over, she'll plop down next to you. She's such an affectionate kitten, who insists on being near you, even climbing on top of you just to get closer (or, perhaps, to play with your hoodie aglets or drawstrings!)
Her sister Nova, a beautiful medium-haired calico, is demure and reserved in taking her time to assess her surroundings, and you. Once she feels all is safe and good, she'll happily bounce and pounce around you. Once she gives you her stamp of approval, she'll want to hang out with you, sleep with you, and flop over to show you her belly to indicate it's time for pets (and will keep flopping over if you ignore her.) Hold her in your arms and she'll purr up a storm, She's playful, and just a tad possessive: She'll acquiesce when Comet wants to play with a toy but, once she gets a hold of it, she'll warn Comet with a little growl that the toy is now all hers!
These sisters would like to stay together. They are negative for FIV and FeLV, up-to-date on vaccinations, and will be spayed as part of the adoption. To adopt this pair, visit them at Petco Union Square.
