A friend of FOCAS went to Kennedy airport to help search for the missing whippet from the Westminster Kennel Club show. She didn't find the dog but came upon Mr. Socks, a homeless cat living at the airport. Or rather, he came upon her. Mr. Socks is very friendly and immediately approached the friend, rubbing up against her. He walked right into a carrier and has proven to be very friendly and a lap cat. He needs an understanding and patient owner because he is rough around the edges - he is prone to gently giving love bites and will even wrap his paws around your leg if he does not want you to leave the room. We are confident that given time and a stable home he will relax and become less needy. Although he was with other cats when found, we feel he should start his new life as an only cat. Mr. Socks is about 4 years old, neutered, up to date on shots and tested negative for Felv/FIV.
