I’m your guy! My name is Moe, I’m 6 years old, and I’m a big soft, cuddly boy and I’ve recently lost my throne! My story is quite sad. One day I was outdoors surveying my kingdom and a very mean person decided to use me for target practice! It was terrible! I was shot twice, once in my back and once in the large upper bone in my right leg. Pieces of the bullets are still there and you can see them on my x-rays! My doctor said I was very lucky because the bullet in my back just missed my spinal cord! My people were unable to afford the surgery to help me get better, so they sent me to Cat Adoption Team where I got all the care I needed. The bullet in my back is not causing me any problems, so the doctors left that one alone, but my leg was another story! They had to put a pin in there, but because of all the damage the bullet caused, I will always have a limp. But I get around really good and am just a bit slower than I used to be! From now on, I need to be an indoor cat and that suits me just fine!
I spent the past month in foster care where I could exercise my leg a lot and I got to meet a bunch of other kitties and we all got along pretty good! Sometimes I got a little huffy with them, but mostly we lived quite happily together!
I really love hanging out with my person wherever they are and I have a cute little meow and a funny little “scrunchy” facial expression I use to let you know it’s time to feed me wet food! I really don’t have any special needs except that I need my food and water bowls elevated a bit. I can’t bend my hurt leg, so I stand to eat, and having the bowls up higher than floor level helps me to be more comfortable. If my bowls are on the floor, I have to lay down to eat!
Boy, I’m really excited and anxious to find my new kingdom!! I have so much Love to bring to your castle! So come on. . Lets GO!
