My Story

Miriam was born about May, 2005. She and her little litter of five were rescued from near drowining in a sudden storm. She's had a rough time out there, but protected her babies like a champ! She was a wonderful mom, and has been recuperating from her ordeal and learning to trust people. She appears to have been abused at some point in her life, in that she was very head shy and timid for several months after her rescue. However, Miriam has come a long way and is very sweet. Not only has she turned in to a very affectionate girl, Miriam has gained weight, her fur has filled out and she has turned into a real beauty. She is a maine coon/brown tabby with a fluffy tail. Miriam loves to talk to you - and as you walk past her as she lounges in one of her favorite spots, she will lift her head, speak to you, and put out her paw to touch you. If you leave before she's ready, she will stop you with a chirp and grab you with her paw, or gently give a love bite.
