Veterinary Information
• Mina has been spayed
• Mina came into CatNap’s care with symptoms of upper respiratory infection and has now recovered. This is usually caused by the feline herpes simplex virus (HSV) and is very common in rescued cats and kittens. When symptoms are present adding a common ammino acid to their food daily may help boost the immune system. A cat can have a flare-up of symptoms due to stress, such as a change of environment such as an adoption center and/or new home. A document explaining this in more detail will accompany her to the adoption center and be included with her health record card.
• Mina recently had a comprehensive dental procedure done including several extractions and cleaning/polishing were done. She has good oral health at this time. A home oral hygiene regimen such as daily tooth brushing, oral gel, water additive or dental care products to reduce bacteria and plaque buildup is recommended. You can discuss options with your veterinarian.
