My Story

If you are interested in Melody, please fill out this form: https://www.pause4pawsmn.org/adopt-a-pet This is Miss Melody! She is looking for a loving home. She's approximately 12-14 years old, and was neglected in her previous home. She loves to talk and will hold a conversation with you. She'll also voice her demands in her old lady meow, and is not shy about it. She's quite shy for a while at first, but once you earn her trust, she'll flop on her side and show her belly and love you to pieces. She is learning what belly rubs are, and enjoys them for a little bit. Melody does really enjoy catnip toys, and loves to watch you swing toys, even if she doesn't really play with them. Except when she's had a wiff of catnip! Melody has come a long way in her development from being really hesitant to scritches, to wanting them all the time! She will sit in your lap for a while, if you put her there. She is slowly learning that she always has permission to sit in laps, or even leave them. She does ok with other cats, but would prefer to be the only one. She can get defensive (not aggressive), and can lash out a bit when nervous or overwhelmed, so a home without little kids would be best. She is learning to use less claws and teeth, and more fluffy paws to tell you when she's uncomfortable. Melody does tend to bite (not hard!) when she's over stimulated, like with too much petting. But then she asks for more. She just doesn't know what to do with all the energy and love!
