Meli likes to be part of the action, whether hanging out in whatever room you're in or supervising the street and local wildlife from a cozy window. If you give Meli a lap, she'll be glad to cuddle up and keep you warm while watching TV. But she's not insistent about being on you - she's happy to be nearby. She'd like you to know, though, that pets are always-always-always welcome. She's gentle and patient with kids, gentle on your furniture, and likes other cats once she knows them. Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter (unless specified). We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam prior to adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCKR. City Dogs Rescue & City Kitties is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Cat specific vetting: Rabies, FVRCP, Feline Leukemia vaccines, as age appropriate. Cats are tested for FIV and FeLV, when age appropriate, but not when born to a FELV/FIV negative mother in foster care.
