My Story

Margo I wish I was one of those empty-headed, always-happy cats who never mind what happens to them. I have a sensitive, emotional side to my personality. I always think about what is coming next, worrying about how it will affect my life: climate change, animals going extinct, or the price of cat treats. I was adopted from another shelter one and a half years ago. My owner surrendered me to HSHC because she could not afford to keep me. I am an anxious kitty, for which I take medicine. I eat a diet designed to control the formation of crystals in my bladder, which can be caused by stress. Let me tell you that being in a small, two-room apartment in the cattery has been very stressful. My owner noticed my anxiety going through the roof when she moved into an apartment and began working 14+ hours a day! I am a 10-year-old girl who likes having a human pay attention to me. I recently spent some time in an office with LOTS of room and people around all the time. I was a much happier little lady! I need room to roam! Even though my photos show a permanent scowl, I have a sweet side! The cattery staff has witnessed my charms. However, I've felt much grumpier since moving back into my cattery apartment. I am a good-looking girl. If you can empathize with my anxiety issues, I would love to live with you. 5-21-24
