The kind people who found them fed them for a while until the manager insisted they go to the pound.
Instead, all seven were brought to a vet for checkups. Mia was thin and hungry (she was still nursing her 6-week-old kittens and a bit worse for the wear) but healthy.
Mama Mia and her six kittens were then taken into a foster home.
Mia is a little over a year old, and friendly and affectionate. After a proper introduction, she gets along great with other cat-friendly cats and kittens.
It's unknown whether she's used to dogs, but we suspect she has been around kids as she seems unafraid of gentle children. Mia is now spayed, viral and pest free, up to date with vaccinations, and microchipped.
