My Story

Lyra & Liam, 3 year old littermates. Lyra is a ruddy female. She is very sweet and loves to lay in laps. She usually comes to her name. She loves hidey holes and laying in the sun. She's very interested in birds and squirrels from the windows. She is cooperative for nail trims and eye drops. She likes to play with squeaky toys and laser pointer lights. She's very chill most of the time and sweet. Liam is a red male. He is very outgoing and has a golden retriever personality. Liam is very nosey and has to greet every visitor. He will go to the door if someone knocks. He loves to give headbutts and can be really pushy about this. He will present his head for kisses on the top of his head over and over. He is very calm and chill and hasn't met a person or animal he didn't want to be instant friends with. He loves to curl up and sleep close to his person but is not a lap cat. Lyra and Liam were exposed to herpes in their breeder's home. They each have chronic herpes. Lyra has eye issues which require a daily dose of lubricating gel. Liam is a 'snuffler' with ongoing upper respiratory issues requiring famciclovir. Both cats are good about taking their respective medications. If you would like to open your heart to this special pair, please apply here: www.neabyrescue.com/application *** They are littermates who get along but are not dependent upon each other. While it would be wonderful for them to find a home together, we will place them separately. ***
