My Story

Luther was rescued from Sabre Army Airfield on Fort Campbell after soldiers noticed him hanging around a dumpster for several days. Previously known as "dumpster cat," he was safely trapped and dubbed Luther after a fallen member of the military unit where he was found. He has flip-flopped personality, at first very friendly, then a bit hissy and standoffish once he was safe and warm, and finally back to accepting attention...if you can catch him! He is not a traditionally cuddly kitty as he was not too trusting of humans at first! He has come around since being with his loving foster but will need some time to decompress and feel comfortable to let his purrsonality really shine! We think a quieter home would be best considering how shy he can be and less stress is best for this cute orange guy! Luther will require an adopter with patience to win his trust, preferably an experienced cat owner who has worked with shy cats and kittens before. We are a foster home based rescue in Clarksville, TN, and our cats are in private foster homes in the Clarksville area. An adoption application is required to meet our kitties. Once your application is reviewed and upon approval, we will then provide the information to schedule a meet and greet with their foster. We are a 100% volunteer run organization and have varying hours, as our volunteers work during the day, our goal is to process adoption applications within 24-72 hours, please be patient with us!
