Meet the Cats of Gettysburg at the Kitty Corner by Forever Love Rescue
Hi, my name is Luna and I am one of the lucky kitties that was saved from a colony that didn't really suit me. I was the low kitty on the totem pole so by the time I got to the food dishes, all the food was gone. The nice people from the TNR program captured me because I was so skinny, fixed me, and now I have a foster mama that has been taking good care of me. My foster mom has had me for five months and I have actually come a long way. I was a feral kitty, and I still have some issues with trusting humans, but my foster mom has been very patient. I am litter box trained, and have not had any accidents since the first two weeks I spent with my foster mom. I am kind of a night owl. I seem to only want to eat in the early evening (dry snd wet food) and then I'm up playing most of the night and sleep during the day but that may change as I continue to trust humans. I love getting on my foster mom's lap to get my treats, but as soon as my treats are gone, I'm gone. I think I will eventually be a lap kitty, but I still have some trust issues I need to work through. I went from not allowing anyone to touch me to being pet every night. I love my neck scratched, and gentle rubbing on the top of my head. In fact, I have fallen asleep when my foster mom has rubbed the top of my head. I love to play with the fishing pole that has a feather on the end of it. I specifically love playing with it when it hides underneath a towel or a piece of carpet. It intrigues me that it disappears like that so I have to investigate to see where it is! I also love the catnip toys. They make me a very happy kitty. My foster mom has another kitty and a medium sized dog that is very good with cats and I am fine with both of them. In fact, I have gone on some escapades with my foster brother kitty in the house at night. Whoever adopts me, please have patience with me because I want to be a loving kitty, but I really have to get to know you first and trust you and unfortunately, that will take time. I am a very sweet kitty when you get to know me.
