Lucy

Meet “Lucy!” Lucy was rescued from a shelter euthanasia list by another rescue that failed to get her vet care. She was almost dead when our rescue finally got her into our care. The vet suggested euthanasia but we wanted to try and save her. After several days of hospitalization, we even had a surgical feeding tube placed into her neck as she was no longer able to eat food on her own. At just 3.8 pounds, as an adult cat, Lucy eventually fully recovered despite all odds being against her. The other rescue kept her two kittens (who they also did not get vet care for) and refused to give them to us so that we could reunite them with their mother. What is unique about Lucy? Besides her survival story, Lucy has a shortened, crooked tail. Maybe from an old injury or maybe she was born that way…..or possibly has some type of cat breed in her that has a short tail. :) Lucy is fine with other cats and polite dogs, but is pretty independent. Good with kids as well! She’s still a very petite cat and will never be very big.
