A few weeks ago the shelter received a call from someone who said their neighbor's dog was in their back yard trying to kill all their cats and kittens. I usually avoid these kinds of horror stories but people, this is what can happen to your outside cats. By the time Officer Carpentier got to the home, it looked like a massacre. As Officer C stood there, a small black cat walked up to her with a kitten in its mouth. Honestly it seemed like this mama cat was begging for help. Officer C looked around and found another kitten in a pit. She brought mama cat and her 2 babies back to the shelter. The mama cat was named Lucky. She probably has another 3-4 weeks to go before she'll be ready to be adopted. But I wanted to put her on line so she doesn't have to stay too long at the shelter. Black cats are the last to be adopted and we have a bunch of black cats and kittens right now. So surely there's someone out there who wants to be a hero to a hero mama cat. Let's help Lucky be lucky again!
The 65 fee includes spay/neuter, rabies vaccine, feline distemper combo vaccine, FIV/FELV testing, deworming and flea/tick treatment.
