My Story

NOTE: To inquire about our adoption process or for questions/additional information about Lollipop, please call 269-209-7278 and leave a message. ABOUT Lollipop: She is a little shy but such a sweet cat who loves treats, soft beds and gentle touches. She's very quiet and reserved in a shelter environment. You can typically find her napping. She prefers to be approached ins one of her "safe places" like a cubby. She loves affection and doesn't turn down a good back scratch. She is looking for a forever home that will show her she is loved. Lollipop would be best suited in a home without children. She has not been tested with dogs. She does get along with other cats. Her perfect companion would be a seasoned cat owner who knows the importance of allowing a cat who has lived in a shelter a long time the space and patience to adjust to a new environment. Spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Adoption fee is $80.00. (Grey with cream and a soft peach-like color.) Date of birth: 06/15/2016 Good with other cats = Yes Good with dogs = Unknown Good with children = No (Teens maybe) Housetrained = Yes Please understand, Companion Cats is made up of volunteers. Arrangements will need to be made to view our adoptable cats and kittens in person. Our adoption fee is $80.00 for one cat or $120.00 for two. Thank you for your interest in adopting a rescue cat. Follow us on Facebook, @companioncatsinc UPDATE: Lollipop had an oral condition known as Stomatitis. It is very painful and often times requires the extraction of teeth (in severe cases a full-extraction is required.) Lollipop had her oral surgery on March 24 and continues to be recovering nicely. She has made a full recovery and is now available for adoption. She looks amazing now! What a difference this procedure has made. I almost didn't recognize Lollipop one day at the shelter. Her fur is so healthy and she's gained the perfect amount a weight. This is why we are so driven to make certain the cats that need dentals get them. Their quality of life is so greatly improved. We are so happy for Lollipop. More about Companion Cats' "Project Relief" Fundraiser: Companion Cats had over a dozen cats in need of dental procedures. While we have been able to raise the funds to get ten dental procedures for our cats we are still promoting a fundraiser for at least six additional cats so each can get the lifesaving procedures done. The sooner we are able to raise the funds required, the sooner we can schedule each cats' appointment. Some of the cats have very painful oral conditions, like stomatitis while others have bad teeth (literally rotting.) Without getting the dental work done, the cats will suffer... and suffering isn't an option. If you are interested contributing: https://secure.actblue.com/donate/dental-project-relief The following cats have had the necessary, life saving dental procedures completed: Braxton, Leopold, Mookie, Lollipop, Phoebe, Delilah, Thunderpaws, Curtis, Hutch and Sophie. The following cats are still in need of dental procedures: Faith, Goldie, Tannon, Velvet, Winnie and Valentino.
