"Hello! I'm Liss, a sleek and beautiful black DSH female, born around May 31, 2021. I've had quite the journey, and I have acquired more understanding lately and grown to enjoy human interaction. Originally, coming into HSPPR with my kittens, I was very protective of my babies and thus showed conflicting behaviors towards humans. Now that my kittens have moved on and my hormones are settling down, I no longer try to nip the hand that feeds me although I may lick it. I'm a bit of a complex character at times but I have a heart full of love. I absolutely adore laps and pets, and I have a purr that's as loud as a motorboat! One of my favorite activities is playing with wand toys, and I can get excited. I love the thrill of the chase and the joy of catching my prey (toy). A good play session with appropriate toys is a great way for us to bond and for me to burn off some energy. Another passion is wet food. Where once I had to compete for food for me and my babies, now that drive is becoming less intense yet still present. I'm understanding that I can count on my food bowl to be replenished, and once my belly is satisfied, I am content. My trust around other kitties is not quite there yet, so perhaps a home for myself would be a better start. I'm looking for a home where I can get a lot of play time and then cozy up in your lap when I'm ready to relax. I want an experienced cat person who will provide the patience and love I need. With the right person, I know I can be a wonderful and affectionate human companion. At this time, I would not do well with kids under 7 years.
