My Story

Leo Casanova is a big, friendly, loving cat. He is a former stray who would love a warm, loving home. He was rescued by a kind couple who brought him to our rescue group. He is now neutered, vaccinated, and safe at our rescue, but he is still looking for his own home with people who will be his best friends. Here is his story from the couple who found him: "We are desperate to find a safe, forever indoor home for the sweet boy we have named 'Leo Casanova.' Leo is a adorable, charming boy. It is our belief that at one time he had a home, because when he first appeared in the small fenced patio area of our apartment he had a collar and would occasionally even wear a little sweater. Unfortunately, for Leo those days seem to be long gone. Leo hasn’t worn a collar or sweater since he was kitten (about two years ago). [It appeared like Leo's former owners moved, leaving him behind to fend for himself.] "Leo wants an indoor home so very badly. It breaks our hearts to see him sit and stare inside our apartment. He rubs up against the sliding glass door begging to come in. Our three female cats are very annoyed by this behavior and try to run him off. However, Leo is a true Casanova and not easily swayed, he acts as if he believes the female cats on the other side of the glass are simply overcome with his rugged handsomeness and would belong to him if he was only let inside. "Not only does Leo stare into our apartment, he runs to our front door as if he expects to be let in each time we open the door. When we refuse to let him he simply rubs up against us, purring, as if to try to win us over. Leo also follows us frequently from the front door to our car, and back again. Rubbing up against our legs, then running up ahead a few feet, dropping to the ground, rolling around. He will continue this behavior until he feels we have sufficiently rubbed his belly, then he will simply turn and run back into our patio. "Please, help us find this sweet boy a home. Although we believe he has been living outside for many months, we have no doubts about Leo’s ability to immediately adjust to living indoor full-time. Despite his time spent outdoors he is as just as affectionate for love and human attention as our three indoor cats. " The adoption fee for this cat is $75, which includes his neuter surgery and his vaccinations (two distemper/FVRCP shots and two feline leukemia shots). He needs an indoor-only home.
