Leo When I first came to HSHC, I was just a year-old, uneducated stray. I got adopted and soon learned that my owner would hit me if I swatted or tried to nip. That is not the recommended way to teach a cat manners. I was never properly socialized, but I had lots of pep and energy and always wanted to play. So, my owner surrendered me back after four months. I was a "Nervous Nelly" when the medical staff examined me. I had a URI and needed medicine to help me recover. Then I moved into a Roaming Room with other cats, but I kept starting quarrels with the cats because I am a bit of a doofus. I did not listen to the staff member and kept pestering. So now I am back in a 2-room apartment. When the interviewer lady visited the Roaming Room, I approached her for a pet or two but was easily startled and ran away. I think you must have figured out that I am a victim of no kitten education, no learned boundaries, and easily overstimulated or fearful. I am only 1.5-years-old and would like to start over with a clean slate. I need an understanding, patient owner who has experience with active, fearful, and reactive young cats, and who can provide the patience and love I need to thrive. I'm very handsome, neutered, and litterbox-trained. Please give me another chance! 7-10-24
