Lenny

Lenny is a very nice cat with a sad story so far. He’s hoping his perfect family will take him to his forever home and start writing happy chapters in the book of his life. Lenny aka Tommy Two-Tone is a neutered, long-haired orange guy just 4 ½ years old. Scared and suffering from a nasty upper respiratory infection, he was left in the night drop box at a high-kill shelter in northern California last fall. He was rescued and came to Catmandu in October 2023. With help from Dr Sean at All Creatures Mobile Veterinary Hospital, his infection was treated and soon cured. TLC from Catmandu staff and volunteers helped him regain some confidence and start to trust people again. He was adopted in November 2023 to a home with 2 other cats. Unfortunately, they didn’t always get along and he was returned to us last week. He is very sad about the situation. Lenny has a sweet face and silky soft fur. He likes people and will let you pet him, but fast movements and sudden noises send him scampering off in search of a safe place to hide. It takes him a little bit to warm up to people he doesn’t know and his adopters would need to be patient while he adjusts to a new home and family. While he can live with dogs and other cats if necessary, there is definitely the potential for conflict. He would absolutely do best in a home with no other animals and no young children.
