This beautiful mama was rescued in southern Illinois with her three kittens - they made the long trip north to NAWS with hopes of finding loving forever homes. According to her foster, Leela was a nurturing and patient mama to her kittens. She likes to play and entertains herself independently. She takes a little time to feel comfortable around people, but once she does, she will play with them too. She also plays on her own at times and can entertain herself. She likes pets and attention - butt scratches are her favorite. She likes to explore and roam around her foster home. She can be a bit wary of new people still but is tolerant. She lives with other resident cats in her foster home, but mostly keeps to herself. She also lives with large dogs and has had no issues.
