My Story

Please contact Lauren McCarty ([email protected]) for more information about this pet.Cute gal looking for her forever home!LAYLA NEEDS A FOREVER HOME! Come meet Layla and other great adoptable cats this Sunday (Aug. 4th) from 12-3 pm at the Petsmart in Alexandria (3351 Richmond Hwy, Alexandria, VA 22305)! Name: Layla Best Guess for Breed: Domestic Short Hair Age: 4 months as of 7/15 - Estimated DOB 3/15/24 SEX: Female Approximate Weight: 3 lb 3 oz as of 6/16 Coloring: Brown Tabby Type of Hair: Short Litter: Layla, Leedie Gets Along With: Because of her young age, Layla will likely get along with other cats, dogs and kids with an acclimation period. We're happy to help with tips and tricks! Currently Living at: foster in the DC area! I am Looking For: My loving forever family! Hi! I'm Layla, and I am a cute little kitten! I won't ask for much- just some love, cuddles and lots of toys so I can run and play and be my kitten self. What the Shelter Says About Me: Layla is a sweet young lady, just a bit reserved. (She told the furtographer and foster Mom that she didn't want her pictures taken today!) She meows to make sure meals are served on time and that she is picked up for her share of attention. That's about as rowdy as she gets - those sweet meowy requests. Layla likes head and whisker rubs and back scratches on her mink-soft fur. Layla says her mantra is Be calm & do your own thing. What My Foster Says About Me: Layla is getting more adventurous but she's still the sweet, quiet one. Benny Leedie is getting more lovable each day. He has no fear around my cats. They really enjoy can food. Kitten Vetting Requirements: Your kitten may not be fully vaccinated upon adoption. You will be responsible for providing whatever remaining vaccines are needed to complete the kitten vaccine series. Due to this kitten's young age, she/he has not yet been spayed or neutered. As part of the adoption contract, it will be your responsibility, as the adopter, to ensure that this is done no later than 9/15/24. There are NO EXCEPTIONS and NO EXTENSIONS to this date. A non-refundable spay/neuter deposit will be collected if you would like Lucky Dog to pay for this animal to be spayed/neutered at one of our low-cost partner vets.
