My Story

Meet Larry! Larry came to CCHS when his owner passed away. Larry is most definitely a talker. If your home is quiet and you need something to chat to, come find Larry. He would love to have a person as his faithful audience! He also loves attention and enjoys poking visitors when they pass by his cage. Larry tested positive for FIV which is a virus but he can still live with other cats as long as they all get along. FIV is spread by deep puncture wounds, not by sharing food or litter. Larry was adopted for 2 days and returned because he didn't use the litter box. He is good with some cats but not all. We recommend having one room in the home set aside for Larry so that he can get accustomed to using the litterbox in a new environment. As he gets comfortable and his potty habits are back on track, he can have access to more areas. He is such a lover, we hope a family sees that side of him and works with his litterbox issue. Apply today! Approved applicants will be notified via email. Please check junk/spam folders for a response. Larry's adoption fee has been sponsored! Adoption applications can be filled out at CCHS or online through our website, www.cchs-petshelter.org. Applications are not first come, first served. All applications will be reviewed by the adoption committee and the home chosen will be the one considered to be the best match. All cats and kittens have been vaccinated for Distemper, dewormed and microchipped. If old enough, they will also be vaccinated for Rabies, blood tested for FeLV/FIV, and vaccinated for Feline Leukemia. Cats and kittens will be spayed or neutered before adoption. CCHS is proud to be a No-Kill Humane Society. As a private, non-profit charity, our work depends on donations and volunteers to keep going. We are committed to helping the animals that enter our doors and finding each the best possible forever home.
