My Story

I'm Larry the cat - my former owners who heartlessly threw me out of my home used to call me Fatty, but my food lady mercifully changed my name to Larry. I'm a happy guy and really love people, so last summer when I was tossed outside to fend for myself I was really confused and sad, until I became so hungry and thirsty I forgot about the confused and sad part....until people started yelling and kicking at me just because I tried to be close to them...GEE. What did I do that was so wrong?

Being a house pet, I didn't know how to hunt or find water (no bowls out here!) or how to stay warm (no beds either). I was a big fluffy BEAUTIFUL healthy boy, but after getting lost through the winter months there wasn't much left of me. I didn't know how to scent my way back to where the food lady takes care of the feral cats, and I was nothing but a frozen pile of scraggly fur & bones. But then the season changed and 4 pretty girls in the feral colony all went into heat - and I could scent them (tee hee) from as far away as I was, so I found my way back! The food lady was there when I arrived and I don't know why but she was talking so fast and saying my name over & over to me, and smiling and crying at the same time and she brought me my own bowl of tuna!

ANYWAY, I'm living with the feral colony now, but I've had to be tough and I really don't like that - I'm staying here because I heard that sometimes this food lady can find really nice people to give us homes so maybe if I wait long enough she will find a place for me. I still really want to love somebody (preferable somebody with an aspirin cuz my front leg hurts - when I came back to the colony there were all these strange tough guys here fighting to see the girls and they beat me up - I don't know why, I only came for the tuna!

Please help me find a real home. I'm very social and love other cats as long as they don't hurt me. I don't like to fight or be mean. I think I'm about 2 yrs old. I may need a little bit of time to recuperate from this ordeal, but with a small investment of some patience, I will be your best friend forever.

There is an adoption fee of $100 for adult cats and $125 for kittens. All cats and kittens will be spay/neutered prior to adoption. For kittens that are too young, a spay/neuter certificate will be included. Email or call for more details or to arrange a visit.
