My Story

ORIGINAL BIO: Lagoon was rescued from a local kill shelter where he had been brought in as a stray. He was a bit rough with a coat of a cat that has been fending for himself for a while. A few more months of good food will take care of that and he already looks a lot better than he did. We always breathe a sigh of relief when these guys test negative for leukemia which he did - whew - and next step is to get them vetted - which he is now. Lagoon is a chill couch potato guy - very easygoing and friendly. He gets along with the many cats in his foster home and undoubtedly would be fine with dogs with slow and proper introductions. If you are looking for some furry blue Zen for your next forever family member, please submit an application and you will be contacted to arrange a meeting within 24 hours (if not, please check your spam folder). NOTE: Please do not apply for Lagoon if you are allergic and seeking a Russian Blue for hypoallergenic reasons. Lagoon is NOT a purebred Russian Blue and is NOT hypoallergenic. UPDATED BIO: Lagoon was adopted and returned for aggression. His foster mom never saw any aggressive behavior in her home with many cats and dogs so upon his return, he was placed in a different foster home for assessment. He has now been there for quite a while and we have to say, he is still a love. He does have some areas he isn't crazy about having touched (think belly), but he will flick his tail or walk off if he's done. But since it is indisputable that he was aggressive in the home that adopted him, we are asking for a cat-experienced home with no children. Next go round we ask that he be given time to adjust (think a couple weeks) before handling him. However, once he adjusts, he's a wonderful, talkative, friendly cat. It will be imperative that he is left alone until he wants attention by whomever may adopt him next. Once he gets comfortable, he will follow you around and talk to you until you pet him. He has now been back in his original foster home for a couple months and he is currently living with multiple other cats and dogs and getting along splendidly. The critical feature for Lagoon is that he be given time to adjust, but without a doubt, once he adjusts he is a wonderful cat who loves belly rubs and being brushed. If you have had cat experience and if you would love a big blocky blue guy in your forever home, go to furryfriendsanimalrescue.org and submit an application. Thank you!
