One of our WPR foster homes rescued her off of the streets. She is living with that foster home as a foster cat. She is FIV positive but FeLV negative. She is up to date on vaccines and spayed. Spence is 2-1/2 half years old as June 2024. She has packed on weight even though she can freely roam in the room. She must think the food is going to disappear. Nervous at first but loves being petted, brushed, combed and loves to nuzzle you. A wonderful people cat that gets along well with other cats. Lady Spencer has been around other cats and does not have any issues with them. With FIV, she can be an only cat, around other cats with FIV, or around any cat. The only way it is passed to another cat is with mating or a very deep bite wound. So Lady Spencer is ok to be adopted into a home with other cats! Lady Spencer's adoption fee is $95.00. WE ARE A NO-KILL 501-C-3 NON-PROFIT RESCUE. All donations are tax deductible. We do not have a shelter. All pets live in foster homes. We only adopt to indoor homes. If they appear healthy and there are no obvious health concerns, then extensive testing is not done. This is normal procedure for pet rescues and shelters. Waverly Pet Rescue puts a lot of money into medical care for each dog and cat we take in. $250 is the average cost for basic care. This does not include if the animal had an injury, required extra flea / ear mite treatments, or needed extra days at the vet office
