My Story

Mellow, Friendly, Affectionate Lady of the Lake will enchant you with her calm, curious and cuddly siren purr! She is very snuggly and loves to hang out near you, drape herself over you and give you head butts to get pets. She'll make biscuits right in your lap as she purrs up a storm. Lady has a gorgeous tabby coat and the sweetest sea-green eyes. Her foster describes tells us she quickly acclimated to her home and is the easiest cat to have around. Her previous human surrendered her due to the cost of tooth extractions. APA has taken care of Lady's dental needs and she is doing great with no teeth! She loves wet food, Churu treats and Temptations, as long as it's creamy puree-BlueTuna flavor...the rest just don't pass the taste test...and requires no special care. Just pile on the affection and she's set! Lady got along well with her kitty roommate at the shelter. She adjusted to the low-energy dog in her foster home over time and now is fine with him. She even helps herself to his doggy bed! Lady's ideal home would be a quiet and laid back one with people who will give her lots of attention, pets and love. A friendly cat or a senior dog to keep her company would be a welcome addition. She would be so happy to have a kitty heating pad and soft blankets. But, most importantly, she wants a family to love and call her own. If you're in search of a relaxed, charming kitty to add to your home, Lady of the Lake could be the one for you! Lady of the Lake has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Lady of the Lake can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care. All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
