My Story
Lady Claymore - Boss Lady!
Claymore is a small but sweet short hair gray female. Thought to be about 1-2 years old, she came into foster care pregnant along with her sister and her sister's three kittens, all living in a colony maintained by several kind business owners. All five flourished, sister and nieces/nephews were soon adopted, and finally (after many weeks), Claymore became a mother. She was very attentive and sweet to her little babies while also trusting and calm while her foster mom checked up on the tiny babies. Though she was always friendly from the moment she entered foster care, she became friendlier and sweeter week after week. While she enjoyed spending time with her kittens, you could tell she was especially excited to see people, eagerly approaching and looking for affection, treats, pets, and scratches! From the first day in foster care, it was clear that Claymore was the boss! She is very confident and self assured, overseeing all other kittens and cats in the household, making sure everyone is fed, clean, and happy but also making sure they stay in line, learn social edicate and behave properly. This extends to people too, and Claymore often reminds us to 'stay put and keep on petting' or 'don't leave yet - stay and play' with little Claymore meows or with a paw on our arm or leg.
Claymore is completely litterbox trained (using multiple types of substrates with no issue), a neat and non-picky eater, and in excellent medical condition. She is spayed, vaccinated for FVRCP and rabies, dewormed, combo tested (negative) and microchipped. Her kittens are 8-weeks old, weaned, and will soon find homes of their own, and Claymore is ready to take charge of a new home, and find a family she can boss around!

NOTE: Finding foster space is challenging, and once a cat or kitten is ready for adoption we are naturally keen to free up the space in order to help more cats and kittens in need. We therefore ask that you only apply to adopt one of our cats or kittens if you are in a position to take them immediately, subject to a home check.
Laurel Cats does not have a shelter or storefront. Our kittens and cats are placed in the homes of loving volunteer fosters until they are adopted. This means our cats are accustomed to being handled and loved. Please ask questions if you're interested in any of our cats
