Say Hello to Kona, the Kitten from Kanona! This little girl was found wandering the streets of Kanona when a family caught her as an injured stray kitten. When her foster mom took her in, she was certain she was as spicy as they came, but quickly realized Kona's "spicyness" was real fear and pain. It was discovered that Kona had an injury to her tail that was severely infected and would need to be surgically cleaned and cared for for quite some time. Eventually her veterinary team realized the best course of action was a partial tail amputation, so she now sports a cute stub tail! From her foster parenrs: during the time that Kona has settled into our home to heal, and has also settled into her personality...Her spirit is as big as her eyes! Although it took her some time to adjust and begin trusting us, Kona will now seek out affection! For some kittens this may mean snuggling up, but like every kitten, Kona shows her affection differently. The minute you walk into the door, Kona is popping her head around the corner to see you. She will come sprinting to rub up against you and instantly begins purring, enjoying a few scratchies before she's running off to play once again. Like most kittens, she is very curious and constantly finds new places to hide or toys to play with. The noisier the toy the better, is her motto!! Kona very much loves to climb her cat tree and seeks out her scratch post often! She loves the companionship of other cats and would do great with another friend to continue to learn from and play with. While it can be hard to gain her trust, she does better when she sees the other cats receiving pawsitive affection! Over the past 7 months, Kona has gone through trials and tribulations with her tail injury and GI concerns. She is finally a happy and healthy girl, ready for her furever home!
