KITKA

Meet Kitka! This sweet senior originally came to the Shelter a bit nervous and unsure but, with time and patience, has become quite a socialite with staff and volunteers. Her favorite activities in her previous home were being pet, napping and greeting her guardians. She enjoys playing with balls, ribbons, and towels. Kitka is a sensitive, quietly affectionate cat. She bonds with people who feed her and dont force attention on her. Kitka likes to initiate affectionate and will, in due time, brush against her guardians leg and seek petting (especially in the head and neck region). Kitka was fearful of a dog that she was introduced to so a home that is canine free is required. Kitka was indoors primarily in her previous home but had some supervised time outdoors. A home with a catio and/or some supervised sunbathing on the porch may be a fit after a period of acclimation. Kitka has been around other cats but really thrives as the queen of her castle so a home as the only kitty is required. Kitka is a senior kitty while will need more frequent vet visits to ensure she remains in good health. Adopters should be mindful of this when considering adoption. Kitkas adoption fee is reduced by $40 thanks to Shelleys Angels and the Bogey Fund. Shelleys Angels draws adopters eyes towards often overlooked senior kitties in Shelters while the Bogey Fund does the same for black kitties.
