Killigan is a wonderful girl. But she has had more bad breaks than a cat should ever have. She was abandoned at the pound by her family after 8 years of being a loving devoted cat. Then she was adopted into a home where the resident cat picked on her and kept her scared in a closet for weeks. Since then Killigan has been in foster homes moved around from place to place when the fosters left, and again abandoned her.
Killigan started out with CCCR as a well-adapted and very sweet girl who everyone called 'a love'. And ufortunate events have now left her unstable and afraid and defensive. Once she is settled in a home, she is fine and becomes her loving self again. But meeting new people has become a frightening situation for her and she reacts badly to potential new adopters walking in the door.
Killgian is going to need a special person who will understand that she just needs love, and time to get settled in. And then her loving darling self will come out and she'll be a devoted wonderful family member forever.
Because Killigan has developed some bad mannerisms upon first meeting people, we think she would do best in a home that is quiet and peaceful, without dogs and without other cats that would intimidate her. She may do fine with another cat that, like her, is not aggressive toward other cats.
If you are looking for a very sweet gir lwho needs just a little extra love and caring, please ie Killigan a chance to prove that she is a wonderful loving girl.
Because her happiness is our first priority, Killigan can be adopted for a special reduced fee.
