Kiki Female from Maui Birthdate Aug 10 2023 Loves other cats and ignores our giant barking howling husky Not accustomed to children but would do very well with respectful kids Bonded to brother Kika Kiki is a born explorer and athlete, grey tabby with pink nose. She has white gloves like her brother but a bunch of multicolor toebeans! She wants to mother everyone and everything around her. She is the smallest, lightest kitty in the house and nobody else comes close to her acrobatic feats. If she were a human, she'd be the supermom running a marathon with a stroller of triplets. She has a white lightning bolt on her right thigh and we joke that it's what gives her superpowers, Ka uila (lightningbolt) is her Hawaiian nickname. She effortlessly springs up to high places and then looks back confused why she's all alone up there and none of her fellow kittens can keep playing at her level. So she comes back down to earth, mostly because she loves being with her brother. When she's in a grooming mood (very doting on the other cats and humans alike), none of the other kitties can resist! She loves curling up in a couple specific spots on the sofa, especially if a blanket makes a hammock between two people. At night, she likes to curl up at knee level on top of the blankets on one of her favorite humans. She is obsessed with water, whether it's a trickle from the sink or the bathtub full. We have a water fountain for the cats and she walks right in with all 4 legs, splashing water out. Absolutely hilarious. We got a special water tray just for her and call it Kiki's waterpark. When in a mood for pets, she rubs her head on you so hard that she does a complete somersault and ends up with all her feet in the air, purring and rubbing her head on her human's foot or hand or leg. She loves very intense petting on her head, ears & back when she's in a pet mood and then eventually will switch to petting the human back. She loves to groom people and will hold your hand with her hand so she can lick it. Heart-melting! She will tell you very clearly not to pet her belly, but she is very gentle and knows how to not use claw on fragile human skin. In the foster home she acted as big sister to 4 teeny kittens who lost their mom too early, taking on the duties of the mom; cleaning them, cuddling them, keeping them contained, bringing them to the food and teaching them to trust humans.
