Khaleesi

Khaleesi was removed from a neighborhood in which the children were physically abusive to her and her baby. Her baby ended up having to have a leg amputation because of the injuries sustained and she had an injury to her hind area that has since healed. She is approximately 2 years old. Khaleesi has been in foster care for a year now and has been in the cat room at PetSmart several times. Unfortunately she always is overlooked because she is shy and reserved with strangers. She's also been to several adoption events and no one even asks about her. She does not like to be held and she will noticably flinch when you pet her. I have taken over her foster care and within about a 2 weeks time, she has stopped flinching when I approach her. She actually came to me tonight for the first time to receive affection on her terms. She joined a group of cats that had already established themselves in my foster room and had no issues adapting to the other mama cat or her kittens. She's very gentle and very quiet. All she wants is to be loved in a home of her own. Due to her experience with smaller children, a home with older children who will understand she needs space and time initially, would be more appropriate. https://bit.ly/fofadoptionapplication
