My Story

Kerri Strug, named after the 1996 Olympic gymnast who vaulted on a broken foot. She didn't let that stop her, so I felt the name was fitting for a little kitten with either a birth defect or trauma to her rear leg. Kerri had her leg amputated and doesn't let that stop her from running around and having a good time. She was previously adopted, but was returned to us 7 months later due to a litter box issue that had recently developed. Upon speaking with the adopters, they had changed the type of litter. I've been using clay clumping litter since having her back and she has had zero incidents. We also took her to the vet to rule out any medical issues. She's healthy as can be! She would not do well in a home with a large dog due to her amputated leg. She was in a home with other cats, but it is unknown if that was the cause of the litter box issues. She would be ok as a single cat with someone who is home all day long to give her attention.
