After a year of looking for my furever family, I thought I found it, but unfortunately I was returned as I was too bonded to my person and got stressed out when they would leave on work trips. I want all the head scratches and love you can give me. I love snuggling on the couch next to my foster parents or overlooking their board game nights and saying hello to everyone who visits. When I've had enough peopling or it's time for you to go to bed, I crawl under the covers in bed and wait for you. I was pulled from the Lee County Animal Shelter in January 2023, I had been there for awhile- no one wanted me and my time was running out. I was so obese they had to cut/break the carrier open to get me out when I arrived. After a year in rescue I lost some weight and got comfortable with my foster family. Then! I thought I had found my family! I lived with them for about 6 months, but after awhile I got stressed out when mom had to go on work trips and protest peed to let my humans know I wasn't happy about it. With a full workup, we determined that it was strictly stress based and I was brought back as this was a behavior they weren't willing to work with. Now I’m medicated and looking for a warm, comfortable safe place to relax and snuggle. At first, I’m a little shy around new cats and dogs, but with time and patience I warm up and even snuggle with younger cats! Will you take me to my furever home...please?
