Kaiser, formerly "Tiki", is a very sweet 10-year-old seal point Siamese in need of a new home because of a recent diagnosis of Feline Idiopathic Cystitis (FIC) which is brought on by stress.
He is up-to-date on vaccinations, bloodwork in January looked great, x-rays look great, but he has a condition where the walls of his bladder become inflamed and painful. Management involves keeping his stress level low so he would do best in a calm, low stress household. Many years ago, he had a PU, and has been doing well on a wet food diet. Since his diagnosis, he has been doing well on Gabapentin mixed in his food.
Kai was originally part of a hoarding situation and spent three years living in a bathroom. Hopes were high when he was adopted by an elderly couple and he is absolutely adored by the wife, but tension between family members was picked up on by Tiki/Kai, causing a flare-up. Since the stress level in the household cannot be managed, Kai needs a new home, preferably as a one-and-only animal. Kai is currently staying at the Cat's Cradle in Black Mountain until a new foster home or adopter is found.
