Hi there! My name is Jojo and I’m a senior lady in need of a special home.
For the past 10 years of my life I have lived with my elderly owner. She unfortunately passed away and I had to fend for myself for a while until arrangements could be made. I was very upset, confused, and depressed when I was brought to the shelter. I had a severe ear infection and skin infection when I came to HSRC after being on my own in my former home. I’m medically all better! My skin and ears still look rough and are healing up but they no longer cause me pain! I have a preexisting cataract in my right eye from a previous injury according to my owners family. I also have FIV which can weaken my immune system. I’ve gotten MUCH sweeter now that I feel better! I enjoy affection, pets, and sitting on volunteers laps on my terms. Some days I still hide under blankets in my cat bed, others I’m more up for interaction and affection. I’m at least 10 years old however we don’t know my true age. My ideal home would love me for being imperfectly perfect and provide me love, shelter, and a safe spot until it’s my time to reunite with my beloved former owner.
