My Story

Jewel DOB 9/28/21 Adoption fee: $200.00 Jewel is a sweet, gentle, loyal gal that loves catnip, chirps for treats, and spends most her day lounging around. She enjoys neck scratches, hanging out on the bed, and looking out the window! This gal was found living under an apartment building with her two babies after having been dumped. She appreciates a gentle approach, but loves to receive neck scratches and will rub up against your legs for more love once she gets to know you. She likes to be held over your shoulder while receiving pets and will curl up in your lap for neck scratches. Although Jewel is mellow most of the time, she occasionally enjoys playing with toys and will chatter at you for more snacks! Catnip is her favorite! Jewel would prefer a quiet, calm home without other cats. She is typically bullied by other cats and won’t stand up for herself, so she’d like to be spoiled as an only cat in her new home! She’s a very loyal girl who will need some time to bond with her new family and adjust to a new environment. Once she knows you, she will politely ask for attention by following you around and sitting nearby until you reach for her. Jewel is a very relaxed cat that enjoys a peaceful environment—she would do best in a quieter, cat experienced home without children or loud dogs. She will be a fantastic, mellow companion! The first step in our adoption process is the application which  can be found on our website lapcats.org. All of our cats have tested negative for FELV and are fully vaccinated. They have not only been spayed or neutered but have also been treated for worms, fleas, and have been micro chipped. We will register their microchip for you, provide you with a free exam visit to a participating Sacramento veterinarian, and a goodie bag!
