Hello!
My name is Janet. (Any "Three's Company" fans out there? I was named for one member of the trio. It's just me right now though because Jack already found his forever home and Chrissy is not quite ready for adoption yet.) I am very pleased to meet you! I'd like to tell you a bit about myself, so let's start with my origin story! My two pals and I were living in the (not-so-great) outdoors. Our homeless cat colony was in the midst of being decimated by predators, so we spent our time narrowly escaping encounters with coyotes' sharp teeth and car tires. Given this, it was not a moment too soon when our clowder's kind caretaker brought us to Rescue House's attention. After landing in foster care, we all were treated to a visit to the dentist-gulp! Well, I don't have a whole lot of teeth left, but I am considerably happier and healthier. In tip-top shape and ready for adoption, I am looking for roommates and for a new pad to crash in-I heard yours looks promising!
I am gentle, low maintenance, and appreciative of human kindness. In terms of affection, I adore being on the receiving end of it! I also will enjoy following you around and participating in the various activities that consume your time. Sweet and warm, pets are my favorite, and I don't feel like I can ever get enough loves! Once we move in together, you will see that I have a few other passions in my life outside of you-one of those is dinner! After foraging for scraps on the streets, I am super psyched about regular meals and consider myself to be a four-legged foodie. (In fact, I am so motivated by food that you definitely could use it to teach me tricks!) What else about me ... I am a free spirit! An adventurer and escape artist, I was super skilled at getting out of my room at my foster's house! When you are not available to hang out, I split my time between exciting undertakings and scholarly pursuits because I take after my namesake (Janet Wood) a bit. If not on an expedition, I enjoy embroidery, reading my horoscope, and solving the NYT crossword puzzle-you might have to help by filling in my answers though because writing is a real challenge with paws!
While I can coexist with other cats, I am still somewhat suspicious of feline friends, so I require a proper introduction to them. I also would do best with a laidback kitty happy to give me my space and let me do my own thing but occasionally willing to chill with me. My foster home didn't have kids or dogs, so I am not sure how I feel about either.
I so look forward to meeting you and living out the rest of my many "Happy Days" (another vintage TV reference) with you, dear reader! Thanks so much for considering bringing me into your heart and home. I hope there's room for me!
Warm Regards,
Janet
