My Story

Iris is part of a five-cat purebred Balinese (long-haired Siamese) rescue. These cats were dumped by a breeder at a local shelter. All of them are a bit overwhelmed by their change in circumstances. They will need and patience to become good family members. We believe that the breeder kept them in cages for their entire lives prior to coming to rescue. Iris is slowly getting used to "life on the outside" and whoever adopts her will need to continue helping her in her adjustment by providing excessive amounts of love. treats, and attention. Iris is a gorgeous Blue Lynx Point Balinese kitten, one year old. Adoption donation is $175.

Who We Are:

We are a private rescue and privately funded. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, BUT A RESCUE. A rescue is a PRIVATE HOME and not a public place to visit. Adopters must make appointments prior to visiting foster homes. All of our cats are spayed/neutered, FIV/FELV tested, wormed, de-fleaed, and vaccinated prior to adoption.

Adoption Process:

We require all potential adopters to fill out an adoption application prior to setting up an appointment to visit with the cat(s). We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. If you email us, we will provide you with an application - either by email or by mail.

Out of state adoption:

Merlin's Hope does NOT do out-of-state adoptions other than states contiguous to Texas (LA, Oklahoma, NM). All transportation MUST be provided by the adopter.
